Jeff Sprenger, Satellite Industries Account Executive for the Mountain Territory, sharing portable sanitation industry expertise, customer support, equipment guidance, and business growth solutions for portable restroom operators across the western United States.

In the portable sanitation industry, strong customer relationships are built on trust, responsiveness, and experience. Behind many of those successful partnerships are Account Executives who understand the day-to-day realities operators face and work alongside them to help their businesses grow.

In this edition of our Account Executive Spotlight series, we’re highlighting Jeff Sprenger, a longtime industry professional serving customers throughout the Mountain Territory. With decades of industry knowledge and a customer-first mindset, Jeff has become a trusted resource for operators across the region.

A Lifetime in Portable Sanitation

For Jeff, portable sanitation isn’t just a career; it’s something he was born into.

“My dad started working for Satellite in 1964, and I was born in 1967, so I did not have much of a chance,” Jeff shared.

Growing up around the industry gave Jeff firsthand insight into the dedication, service, and hard work required to succeed. Over the years, that experience developed into a deep understanding of both the business and the people behind it.

No Such Thing as a “Typical” Day

Like many professionals in portable sanitation, Jeff knows every day can shift quickly based on customer needs.

“My day at Satellite usually starts at 6:30 am, where I spend a few minutes laying out my day. By 7:30 am, that plan is usually out the window,” Jeff joked. “I mostly spend my time helping customers with product questions, quoting new products, and general industry questions.”

Whether helping operators select portable restroom equip mentor answering operational questions, Jeff focuses on being accessible, knowledgeable, and solutions-driven.

A Resource for Customers

One of the most rewarding aspects of Jeff’s role is helping customers solve problems and grow their businesses, especially companies just entering the portable sanitation industry.

“I enjoy being a resource and a problem solver,” Jeff explained. “I especially like working with start-up companies.”

For newer operators, having access to experienced guidance can make a major difference. Jeff enjoys helping customers navigate equipment decisions, servicing challenges, and business growth opportunities with confidence.

Changing Perceptions About the Industry

Portable sanitation is often misunderstood by people outside the industry. Jeff believes many would be surprised by the professionalism and opportunities the field offers.

“People think that the work our customers do is very dirty, but if you keep your head about you and you enjoy the outdoors, working in this industry can be an enjoyable experience.”

From construction sites and special events to disaster response and public health support, portable sanitation professionals provide essential services that communities rely on every day.

A Sense of Humor Goes a Long Way

While Jeff takes customer service seriously, he also appreciates the importance of humor and personality in building relationships.

When asked what customers might be surprised to learn about him, Jeff shared:

“I have an extremely bashful bladder. I sell toilets for a living; how ironic is that?”

It’s the kind of humor and authenticity that reflects the close-knit nature of the portable sanitation industry.

Family First

Outside of work, Jeff enjoys spending time with his family and staying busy with projects around the house.

“I enjoy spending time with my family, especially the grandchildren; they keep me grounded. I also enjoy doing projects around the house.”

That grounded mindset also carries over into the way he supports customers, with honesty, consistency, and a genuine commitment to helping others succeed.

Advice for New Operators

For those entering the portable sanitation industry, Jeff believes long-term success starts with strong service.

“First thing to always remember: it is all about the service. Do what you say you are going to do, clean your toilets well, charge a fair price, and you will be successful.”

It’s simple advice, but it reflects the foundation of success in portable sanitation: reliability, professionalism, and customer care.

Leading Through Guidance

When asked to describe his leadership style in three words, Jeff chose:

“Elevate Through Guidance.”

It’s a fitting description for someone who has spent his career helping customers, mentoring others, and sharing decades of industry experience throughout the Mountain Territory.

At Satellite Industries, Account Executives like Jeff Sprenger help strengthen customer relationships by offering more than products; they provide knowledge, support, and partnership that help portable sanitation operators succeed every day.
