Recently, we have received reports of phishing emails targeting our customers. These emails may appear to come from Satellite, asking you to update your ACH information or to send a payment.
Please pay close attention, as the sender's email address could be slightly altered—for example, there might be a missing "L" in "@sateliteindustries.com."
We take this matter very seriously and want to assure you that the malicious perpetrators have not obtained any private customer information. If you have responded to a suspected fraudulent email, we urge you to contact your financial institution immediately.
Important to Note:
Satellite has not changed our banking information and will not communicate banking changes via email.
Safeguard yourself Against Fraudulent Activities
Payments should always be made from our invoice information. To safeguard yourself against these fraudulent activities, we recommend the following precautions:
Verification
Please make sure you are corresponding with a known Satellite contact.
Caution
Be vigilant with your personal information: Avoid sharing sensitive details such as account numbers, passwords, or social security numbers via email, phone, or any unsecured channels.
Monitoring
Regularly review your financial statements: Keep a close eye on your bank statements, credit card bills, and any other financial transactions. If you notice any suspicious activity or unauthorized charges, report them immediately to your financial institution.
Awereness
Beware of phishing attempts: Exercise caution when clicking on links or downloading attachments in emails, especially if they seem suspicious or are from unknown sources. It's a common phishing tactic to impersonate a trusted party.
