About SWC

The Satellite Women’s Conference (SWC) began in 2018 with almost 60 women representing 40 companies, who took a leap of faith to participate in an industry first women’s only event. In just three years SWC grew by 35% with continued enthusiasm and inspiring support. In 2021, Satellite was honored to host over 80 women from over 50 companies, representing a mix of 60% first time and 40% returning attendees. To fuel this momentum SWC has moved around the country to make it more accessible, going from Minneapolis, MN in 2018 to Scottsdale, AZ in 2019, with a digital event in 2020, followed by an engaging in-person event in 2021 in Nashville, TN. But we didn't stop there, in 2022 we celebrated year 5 in sunny San Diego, year 6 in Austin, Texas, year 7 in Leesburg, Virginia, and year 8 in Denver, Colorado serving over 140 women. Now in our 9th year, we hope to serve 200 amazing women from an even broader audience.

SWC has evolved into a connected community of strong businesswomen not only within the portable sanitation industry but also beyond our borders, ranging from small and medium sized business to larger, corporate organizations. Decision makers, owners, managers, field technicians and office staff; with seasoned experience, a few years under their belt, or those who just received their business license and are eager to get started!

Opening Keynote | Crowned in Confidence: Women in Business

Find Your Fuel: Ignite Unshakeable Confidence, Unstoppable Energy, and Unapologetic Joy | ERIN KING

Let’s be real: We are doing more than ever, often feel less energized, less connected, and less fulfilled. We chase productivity, push for progress, and show up for everyone else… but where does that leave us?

In this high-impact keynote, Erin King—world’s leading researcher on personal energy management and creator of the Energy Exam®—invites women to rethink the way we show up for our work, our relationships, and ourselves.

Blending science-backed insights with personal stories and tangible tools, Erin guides audiences through how to align with their natural energy instinct—Kinetic, Generative, Rigorous, Responsive, or Synergistic. Because true success isn’t about doing more, it’s about doing what works for you.

This keynote is both a wake-up call and a permission slip: a call to stop running on empty and a strategy to start leading from a place of clarity, vitality, and confidence. It’s not about being perfect, it’s about being powerful in a way that’s real, sustainable, and uniquely yours.

Key Learnings:

Discover Your Energy Instinct: Identify your core energy type and how to leverage it for greater performance, creativity, and clarity.

Align Instead of Hustle: Replace burnout with better boundaries by focusing on energy alignment, not endless output.

Lead with Authentic Power: Learn how to tap into your personal rhythm so you can lead, speak, and serve with more intention and impact.

Create Sustainable Success: Walk away with science-backed strategies to recharge emotionally, mentally, and physically—and stay fueled for the long game.

Reconnect With What Matters: Rediscover what drives you, so your work, life, and leadership feel more aligned—and a lot more fun.

Employee Retention

It’s estimated that employee replacement cost is 1 ½ to 2x their annual salary, which doesn’t account for ancillary costs that aren’t as measurable. Continued investment in current employees and a commitment to their professional development not only benefits your bottom line, but it also helps to boost morale and strengthen company culture. The Satellite Women’s Conference (SWC) takes a holistic approach to this. We believe that creating a space designed for women in this industry to come together to improve their business acumen, prioritize their personal health, and share their experiences will lead to a deeper network of resources and better industry overall.

Professional Development

Continuous training results in 50% higher net sales per employee. SWC is committed to providing the latest educational content in portable sanitation, business operations and personal growth & well-being. We invest in sought-after speakers, industry experts and innovators to connect with attendees in an approachable environment so the learning is current, hands-on, and truly impactful. We connect with industry professionals to learn challenges they are facing, new solutions they are adopting, tried and true methods that have brought success. We bring those conversations to our attendees so that everyone may benefit from shared collective knowledge. Whether new to the industry, a veteran or somewhere in between, women in all roles within their organization have expressed what a valuable experience this conference is for them each year. While some sessions are portable sanitation industry focused, we offer a wide range of topics that can benefit all women and provide them with substantial takeaways to immediately impact their business and their lives.

Community & Network

People are 90% more likely to trust and buy from a brand recommended by a friend. SWC is committed to maintaining an accessible community. We strive to find locations around the country to host the conference that creates an exceptional experience for a growing, dynamic, female-centered audience. This has forged a network of women across the country that otherwise would not have had the opportunity to connect on a genuine level. The immeasurable value is a trusted community of mentors and friends that can become professional resources, referrals, and personal connections.

FUN

“People rarely succeed unless they have fun in what they are doing” – Dale Carnegie. At the end of the day, we make sure there is plenty of time for laughter during the conference because those are the moments that sincerely reinforce our unique connections and prioritize the critical human component of work. Happy people are motivated, measure a higher rate of productivity, and have lower overall stress. That is always good for your bottom line.
